At Henry and the Fox, we’re obsessed with food. Great ingredients, thoughtful technique and the joy of sharing a meal are at the heart of everything we do — and this hands-on gnocchi masterclass in Melbourne is no exception.
Join our chefs for a relaxed and interactive cooking experience where you’ll learn how to make traditional potato gnocchi from scratch. Working in pairs at your own station, you’ll discover the techniques that transform simple ingredients into the soft, pillowy dumplings that have made gnocchi a staple of Northern Italian kitchens.
During the class, our chefs will guide you through selecting the right floury potatoes, roasting them to control moisture, and gently forming the dough so the gnocchi stay light and delicate.
You’ll then shape, cook and finish your handmade gnocchi with a rich creamy sundried tomato pesto sauce, topped with pangrattato – Italy’s famous toasted breadcrumb garnish that adds crunch and depth of flavour.
Once the cooking is complete, sit back and enjoy the dish you’ve created together with a glass of wine or Prosecco, finishing the experience with a chocolate cannoli dessert.
Perfect for couples, friends or family members cooking together, this class is designed to be fun, relaxed and full of practical techniques you can recreate at home.
