Iconic Melbourne Venue: Cherished by locals, visitors, and tenants of 500 Collins alike, we’re a beloved part of Melbourne’s dining culture.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar Head Chef role, with a proven track record in leading a bustling, modern kitchen.
Culinary Expertise: Exceptional skills in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes, with a relevant trade certificate or higher (Cert IV in Commercial Cookery preferred).
Leadership: A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a motivated work ethic, able to lead a dynamic team through fast-paced services while maintaining quality and consistency.
Innovation: A knack for designing menus that reflect contemporary trends and seasonal flavours, with a commitment to excellence in food quality and presentation.
Efficiency: Ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and manage costs effectively, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of health and hygiene.
This position is full time and we are offering between $90,000 and $95,000 per year plus Super.
As the Head Chef of Henry and the Fox, you will be instrumental in:
Menu Creation: Collaborating on menu design that enhances our guests’ culinary experience.
Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a climate of cooperation and excellence.
Quality Control: Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, in line with our reputation as a premier dining destination.
Operational Excellence: Overseeing all food operations, from procurement to plate, ensuring efficiency, quality, and innovation.
