Spend a festive Saturday morning building your own gingerbread house in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Executive Chef Malcolm Williams, Head Chef Nick Marriott and the Henry and the Fox team will show you how to assemble the structure, add the finishing touches and keep everything standing.
Then it is over to you. Choose from a mix of modern and nostalgic lollies, sweets and Christmas decorations to create a gingerbread house that is entirely your own. Festive welcome drinks and food stations will be available throughout the workshop.
The pair ticket includes two guests building one gingerbread house together. The trio ticket includes three guests and two gingerbread houses. Your completed houses, template and recipes are yours to take home.
We will have the gingerbread, decorations and equipment ready. All you need to bring is your imagination—and perhaps a little patience while the icing sets.
Collect your gingerbread house pieces, decorating supplies and welcome drink before the demonstration begins.
The chefs will demonstrate how to assemble a sturdy house, work with the icing and add decorations without bringing the roof down.
Choose from the decorating table and make your house traditional, colourful, restrained or completely over the top.
We will help you prepare your completed house for the trip home, together with the template and recipes.
From the decorating station to the finished house, expect plenty of colour, creativity and hands-on fun around the table.
This is more than two hours around a decorating table. Welcome drinks and food stations will be available throughout the workshop, giving everyone time to eat, build and enjoy the morning together.
Begin with a festive welcome drink while you collect your gingerbread pieces and prepare for the chef demonstration. Adult and alcohol-free options will be available.
Help yourself to a grazing station with cured meats, cheeses, fruit and condiments, alongside a separate station with familiar favourites for younger guests.
Tea, coffee and full bar service will also be available during the workshop if you would like another drink while your gingerbread house takes shape.
Executive Chef Malcolm Williams will guide you through the practical side of building and decorating your gingerbread house. He will be joined by Henry and the Fox’s resident food guru, Terry P, who loves sharing his knowledge and will keep the morning moving with plenty of food stories along the way.
